Meet Katie Bransfield, a 13 year Westbank girl that loves Soccer and Ringette. Her commitment to sports and her ability to maintain high grades in school and still spend lots of time with her family make her a model athlete.
Highligts so far have been a Provincial Championship with her Soccer team, Westbank United U13, and her Ringette team won Silver in Provincials in 2001.
This Ringette season, Katie has been playing on the Westbank Tween A Cougars. Their first tournament back in November earned them a silver.
Katie loves sport of Ringette because it is a sport that requires a team to work together as you pass the ring from zone to zone.
The season goal for the Cougars this year is to win Provincials in March 2004.
